Construction
The conveyor is made up of modules. Each module represents one pallet place and has a drive unit. A roller conveyor is built up by placing several modules in a row.
Roller bed
The sides of the module are made up of a combination of 4mm thick steel, C-shaped sections and aluminium cladding. While the steel section holds the rollers and thereby the load-bearing elements, the aluminium cladding with its T-grooves holds the track supports, motor, etc.
Rollers
The conveyor rollers have a welded double chain wheel with 21 sprockets and are driven from roller to roller with a 5/8“ chain. The casing consists of a galvanised tube measuring o80 x 3mm. The spindles have a diameter of 20mm and a M12 internal thread.
If the pallets need to be precision guided, then rollers with a flange welded on one or both sides should be used.
Motor
An electric angular gear motor is mounted at the side (left or right) of the module. This provides braking power to reduce the speed of even the heaviest pallets to a minimum. A coupling transfers the power directly to the roller.
The motor requires a voltage of 400V/50Hz (3 Phase). For loads up to 1000kg a 0.25kW version is needed.
Floor Supports
The conveyor supports consist of black, steel U-sections measuring 100 x 50 x 40mm. They are set in the grooves at the beginning and end of the conveyor, as well as at the joints of the modules, with steel connecting elements and T-headed screws. The feet can be adjusted by ±32mm to level out any unevenness in the floor.
Turntable
The turntable consists of powered roller conveyor module mounted on a sub-structure. The goods pass from the conveyor to the turntable which rotates at a previously defined angle (e.g. 90° or 180°). Afterwards the goods are collected from the turntable.
The sub-structure is fitted with feet that can be adjusted in height and make it possible to bolt the structure to the floor and to level out any unevenness.
