Chain conveyor

Chain conveyor Model 7720 has been designed to transport goods such as pallets, caged pallets, boxes. In addition to the pleasing design, innovative materials such as aluminium alloy and high quality plastics have been used.

Construction

The goods being transported can accumulate during fixed cycle or work cycle operations whether the conveyor is a continuous structure or made up of modules.

Operation

The goods are carried to the end of the conveyor and accumulate with zero back pressure. When the first, or any other unit, is unloaded, all the others automatically move up.

Principle

If a light sensor reports that goods are arriving, the control checks whether the next zone in the conveying direction is free or occupied. If it is free then the motor is activated for a certain period of time and the goods are conveyed to the next zone. If this zone, however, is occupied, then the goods behind are held back, and the goods start to form a queue.

The motor in the section is only switched on when goods have to be transported. This allows the system to operate economically and quietly, while keeping wear-and-tear to a minimum.

Chains

As a standard, double 5/8" x 3/8" Duplex chains corresponding to DIN 8187 with straight plates are used. They are guided by profiles made of "S".

Motor

Central power take off on both chain strands with built-in tension unit. Gear motor 3/400V/50Hz/0.5kW.

Conveyor bed

The sides of the modules are made of extruded, anodised aluminium alloy measuring 200mm x 80mm. They serve as load-bearing elements and as fixing point for the conveyor supports as well as functioning as lateral guides (50mm over UER).
